Abstract

Hubert Kiesewetter studierte Ökonomie, Philosophie, Geschichte und Wissenschaftstheorie in Frankfurt am Main, Kiel, an der London School of Economics und in Heidelberg. 1973 Promotion in Philosophie an der Universität Heidelberg und 1985 Habilitation in Wirtschafts- und Sozialgeschichte an der Freien Universität Berlin. Gastprofessuren in Urbana-Champaign (Illinois) 1986/87, am St. Anthony’s College Oxford 1989/90 und an der Université de Paris IV-Sorbonne 1994 sowie Konrad-Adenauer-Professor an der Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. 1987/88. Von 1990 bis 2004 Professor für Wirtschafts- und Sozialgeschichte an der Katholischen Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt.
