Das Umsatzkostenverfahren im internationalen Vergleich. Beschreibung des Aufbaus sowie der einzelnen Posten nach HGB, IFRS und US-GAAP

Abstract

Die Gliederung der Gewinn- und Verlustrechnung nach dem Umsatzkostenverfahren ist im deutschen Schrifttum in zahlreichen Zeitschriften, Büchern sowie Kommentaren beschrieben worden. Dennoch findet sich in der Literatur kaum eine ausführliche vergleichende Gegenüberstellung des formalen Aufbaus sowie der einzelnen Posten zwischen HGB, IFRS und US-GAAP. Vor allem die Ausführungen zum Umsatzkostenverfahren nach US-GAAP sind meist nur allgemein gehalten und lassen Genauigkeit und Tiefe vermissen. Vor diesem Hintergrund hat sich die vorliegende Arbeit zur Aufgabe gemacht, einen Beitrag zum besseren Verständnis der verschiedenen Rechnungslegungsvorschriften im Hinblick auf eine nach dem Umsatzkostenverfahren ausgestaltete Gewinn- und Verlustrechnung zu leisten. Dadurch können beispielsweise auch erforderliche Umstellungsarbeiten besser bewältigt werden.
