Abstract

Kapitalgeber sind in aller Regel schlechter informiert als Kapitalnehmer. Die aus dieser asymmetrischen Informationsverteilung resultierenden Probleme haben auf mikroökonomischer Ebene unter den Stichworten "adverse selection" und "moral hazard" in den letzten Jahren ein gut ausgearbeitetes theoretisches Fundament erhalten. Zudem gibt es eine Fülle von empirischen Studien zu diesem Problemkreis. Daran anschließend ist nun von besonderem Interesse, welche gesamtwirtschaftlichen Auswirkungen aufgrund von informationsökonomischen Marktunvollkommenheiten zu erwarten sind. Zur Analyse der Folgen für den Konjunkturverlauf und den Wachstumsprozeß einer Volkswirtschaft muß die Brücke von der Partial zur Totalmarktanalyse geschlagen werden. Mit der vorliegenden Arbeit liefert die Autorin zu diesem Anliegen einen Beitrag.
