The Impact of EU Enlargement on Economy and Labour Market in Bavaria

Abstract

Gegenstand der Studie sind die Auswirkungen der geplanten EU-Osterweiterung auf die gesamtwirtschaftliche Entwicklung im Freistaat, auf die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit in Bayern ansässiger Unternehmen des Verarbeitenden Gewerbes, des Dienstleistungsgewerbes und des Baugewerbes, sowie auf die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung und die Arbeitsmärkte in den bayerischen Regionen. Die Untersuchung basiert auf einer Analyse von "Revealed Comparative Advantages", deren Ergebnisse zu regionalisierten Indikatoren für die sektorale Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der bayerischen Kreise und Raumordnungsregionen gegenüber den Beitrittsstaaten zusammengefasst werden, einer ökonomischen Analyse des Zusammenhangs zwischen regionaler Produktivitätsentwicklung und der Ausstattung der Kreise Bayerns mit sogenannten "Potentialfaktoren", regionalisierten Ergebnissen ökonometrischer Schätzungen zum Migrations- und Pendlerpotential, das nach der EU-Erweiterung wirksam werden kann, sowie einem Überblick über die Resultate vorliegender Studien zu den makroökonomischen Effekten der Erweiterung mit Hilfe "Allgemeiner Gleichgewichtsmodelle".
