Abstract

The note examines data and statistical information on the number of enterprises, employees, turnover, employment, hirings and cessations in the sector. In addition, the document offers elaborations on exports, the experimental impact analysis for companies receiving regional aid, reflections on the consequences of the pandemic emergency and considerations and prospects for the sector, with a focus on the role of statistics for public decision-making.
