Quantitative Methoden in der Modernen Makroökonomik

Abstract

In den vergangenen 15 Jahren hat sich die quantitative Analyse makroökonomischer Modelle neben der Ökonometrie als Methode zur Evaluation von Reformen unterschiedlicher Art etabliert. Reformvorschläge können mittels der quantitativen Methode aus wohlfahrtstheoretischer Perspektive beurteilt werden, womit die empirische Betrachtungsweise um eine wichtige Dimension erweitert wird. Im Folgenden werden die Grundidee der modelltheoretischen Herangehensweise und die damit verbundenen methodischen Herausforderungen skizziert, um anschließend die breiten Anwendungsmöglichkeiten anhand der Beispiele Privatinsolvenz und Steuerprogression in der Literatur aufzuzeigen.
