Hightech trotzt Abwärtssog

Abstract

Die Anzahl der Unternehmensgründungen in Deutschland ging im Jahr 2006 im Vergleich zum Vorjahr auf rund 243.000 zurück. Dies ist der zweite starke Rückgang in Folge. Die Anzahl der Unternehmensgründungen sank damit um etwas mehr als 4 v.H. Der Rückgang fand auf breiter Front statt, betraf jedoch weniger die technologie- und wissensintensiven Sektoren. Nach dem hier die Anzahl der Unternehmensgründungen im Jahr 2005 im Vergleich zum Jahr 2004 im allgemeinen Abwärtssog noch deutlich zurückging, scheinen sich die technologie- und wissensintensiven Sektoren nun vom Trend gelöst zu haben: Insgesamt blieb die Anzahl der Unternehmensgründungen auf dem Niveau des Vorjahres. In den technologieintensiven Wirtschaftszweigen des verarbeitenden Gewerbes zeigt sich jedoch eine Ambivalenz: Während sich der seit etlichen Jahren anhaltende Sinkflug in der Spitzentechnik wieder beschleunigt, scheint sich das Gründungsgeschehen in der hochwertigen Technik zu erholen. Die Ergebnisse sind Teil einer ZEW-Studie zu Hightech- Gründungen in Deutschland, die im Auftrag der Microsoft-Gründerinitiative "unternimm.was" durchgeführt wurde.
