Personenbeförderung auf Binnenwasserstraßen

Abstract

Zum Personenverkehr auf Binnenwasserstraßen besteht auf europäischer Ebene ein Informationsbedarf, für den in der deutschen amtlichen Statistik derzeit keine Daten vorliegen. Wie und mit welchem Aufwand solche Informationen gewonnen werden können, hat das Statistische Bundesamt mit einer zweiten von der Europäischen Kommission geförderten Pilotstudie untersucht. Der Beitrag beschreibt Methodik, Durchführung und Ergebnisse dieser Pilotstudie, deren Resultate in die weitere europäische Diskussion über den Aufbau einer europaweiten Statistik über die Personenbeförderung auf Binnenwasserstraßen einfließen werden.
