Auswirkungen von geänderten Gewichtungen auf die Entwicklung von Konjunkturindizes

Abstract

Mit dem Berichtsmonat Januar 2024 erfolgte die Umstellung des Produktionsindex für das Produzierende Gewerbe, des Umsatzindex für den Bergbau und das Verarbeitende Gewerbe sowie der Auftragseingangs- und Auftragsbestandsindizes im Verarbeitenden Gewerbe auf das neue Basisjahr 2021. Dabei wurden auch die Gewichtungen der Indizes aktualisiert. Mit der Gewichtung wird die wirtschaftliche Bedeutung der Wirtschaftszweige innerhalb des Produzierenden Gewerbes im Basisjahr berücksichtigt, sie bezog sich vor der Basisumstellung auf das Jahr 2015 und bezieht sich nun auf das Jahr 2021. Der Aufsatz zeigt den Einfluss der Aktualisierung der Indexgewichtungen auf den Verlauf verschiedener Indizes.
