Volkswirtschaftliche Gesamtrechnungen der Länder: Ansatzpunkte für mögliche Verbesserungen der Fortschreibungsqualität

Abstract

Das Bruttoinlandsprodukt erfährt als umfassendstes Maß der Wirtschaftsleistung beson- dere öffentliche Aufmerksamkeit. Der Arbeitskreis Volkswirtschaftliche Gesamtrechnungen der Länder veröffentlicht erste vorläufige Berechnungen für das Bruttoinlandsprodukt nach Bundesländern etwa 90 Tage nach Ablauf des Berichtsjahres. Die den Berechnungen zugrunde liegenden Basisstatistiken liefern dabei noch nicht alle Informationen, die für eine originäre Berechnung notwendig sind. Entsprechend werden die vorläufigen Ergebnisse revidiert, wenn sich die Datengrundlage im Laufe der Zeit verbessert. Der Beitrag stellt eine Methode vor, die geeignet sein könnte, diesen Revisionsbedarf zu verringern, indem der Zusammenhang zwischen Indikator- und Zielgröße nicht postuliert, sondern ökonometrisch geschätzt wird.
