Wie steht es um die Ökosysteme in Deutschland? Einführung einer regelmäßigen Zustandsbilanzierung

Abstract

Die Ökosystemrechnungen des Statistischen Bundesamtes sollen eine bundesweit einheitliche Datengrundlage zu Fläche, Zustand und Leistungen der Ökosysteme schaffen. Sie fungieren als Grundlage für Monitoring und umweltpolitische Analysen und bieten hierfür eine wichtige Datenbasis an der Schnittstelle zwischen Gesellschaft, Wirtschaft und Natur. Die Zustandsbilanz der Ökosysteme ist nach der Flächenbilanz der zweite Baustein dieses Berichtssystems. Sie informiert anhand ausgewählter Variablen und Indikatoren umfassend über die Qualität der Ökosysteme; ihre Ergebnisse werden sowohl in Tabellenkonten als auch teilweise im Kartenformat dargestellt.
