Berechnung und Entwicklung des neuen Produktionsindex für energieintensive Industriezweige

Abstract

Die Industrie, die privaten Haushalte und der Verkehrssektor sind in Deutschland die wichtigsten Endverbraucher von Energie. Mehr als ein Viertel der Energiemenge in Deutschland wird in der Industrieproduktion eingesetzt. Um die monatliche Entwicklung der Industrieproduktion im Bereich der energieintensiven Wirtschaftszweige zu beobachten, hat das Statistische Bundesamt einen Produktionsindex für energieintensive Industriezweige entwickelt und veröffentlicht diesen seit dem Berichtsmonat Juni 2022. Der Artikel erläutert die Zusammensetzung des neuen Produktionsindex sowie seine Berechnung und zeigt mithilfe rückgerechneter Zeitreihen seine Entwicklung seit 2005.
