Die neue Studienverlaufsstatistik: Hintergründe, Aufbau, Methodik und erste Ergebnisse

Abstract

Die amtlichen Hochschulstatistiken sind als berichtszeitraumbezogene Erhebungen ausgestaltet. Daher konnten Entwicklungen auf individueller Ebene im Zeitverlauf bislang nicht oder nur unzureichend dargestellt werden. Mit der Einführung einer Studienverlaufsstatistik durch das novellierte Hochschulstatistikgesetz von 2016 hat der Gesetzgeber eine Möglichkeit geschaffen, Datensätze zu den einzelnen Erhebungseinheiten über die Zeit miteinander zu verknüpfen. Dieser Aufsatz stellt Methodik und erste Ergebnisse der neuen Studienverlaufsstatistik vor. Einen besonderen Schwerpunkt bilden methodische Analysen zur Berechnung der hochschulpolitisch wichtigen Übergangsquoten vom Bachelor- zum Masterstudium.
