Zwischen Konjunktur und Konkurs: Zur Wirtschafts- und Finanzlage des Mittelstandes in Deutschland

Abstract

Zwar sind Anzeichen einer konjunkturellen Erholung nach Phasen der Stagnation und Rezession erkennbar, doch um einen nachhaltigen wirtschaftlichen Aufschwung zu erreichen, müssen notwendige Strukturreformen durchgesetzt werden. Insbesondere bei kleinen und mittelständischen Unternehmen führen eine zu geringe Eigenkapitalausstattung, Forderungsausfälle und Mittelknappheit zu einer ständig steigenden Anzahl der Firmeninsolvenzen. Die Zurückhaltung der Geschäftsbanken bei der Kreditvergabe und die Veränderungen durch Basel II drohen das Problem noch zu verstärken. Auch für Leasingunternehmen wird sich Basel II auf die Refinanzierung und die Konditionengestaltung auswirken. Insgesamt zeigt die trotz schwieriger Konjunkturlage stets wachsende Leasingquote, dass Leasing als Finanzierungsalternative weiter in den Vordergrund rückt.
