Projektion der Wirtschaftsentwicklung bis 2025: Geringe mittelfristige Effekte der Corona-Pandemie

Abstract

Das Potenzialwachstum der deutschen Volkswirtschaft dürfte in den kommenden Jahren spürbar zurückgehen. Dies ist insbesondere auf die Entwicklung des potenziellen Arbeitsvolumens zurückzuführen, das vor dem Hintergrund des demografischen Wandels gegen Ende des Projektionszeitraums rückläufig sein dürfte. Angesichts des Ausmaßes der pandemiebedingten Rezession fällt der mittelfristige Verlust an Produktionspotenzial vergleichsweise gering aus. Im Zuge der wirtschaftlichen Erholung dürfte das BIP in diesem und im kommenden Jahr deutlich stärker wachsen als das Produktionspotenzial. Die gesamtwirtschaftliche Produktionslücke dürfte sich damit bereits im kommenden Jahr schließen. Im weiteren Verlauf dürfte sich das Wachstum des BIP dann im Einklang mit der geschätzten Potenzialentwicklung deutlich verlangsamen.
