Außenhandel mildert die Folgen des Lockdowns in Deutschland

Abstract

Der erneute Lockdown dürfte zu einem deutlichen Rückgang der Wirtschaftsleistung zum Ende des Jahres führen. Allerdings ist nicht zu erwarten, dass der Produktionsrückgang das Ausmaß vom Frühjahr erreicht. Dafür spricht vor allem, dass die Auslandsnachfrage im Unterschied zum Frühjahr die heimische Produktion bis zuletzt gestützt hat. Dazu kommt, dass die bereits umgesetzten sowie die neuen wirtschaftspolitischen Maßnahmen die Folgen der Beschränkungen mildern. Insgesamt erwarten wir einen Rückgang der Produktion im vierten Quartal um 1,7%. Im Jahresdurchschnitt ergibt sich dadurch beim BIP in diesem Jahr ein Minus von 5,4%. Mit der Rücknahme der Beschränkungen im Verlauf des kommenden Jahres dürfte sich die wirtschaftliche Erholung wieder verstärken. Insgesamt prognostizieren wir einen Anstieg des BIP im kommenden Jahr um 4,9% und um 2,8% im Jahr 2022.
