Abstract

Die deutsche Konjunktur zeigt sich weiterhin in einer guten Verfassung. Sie wird nach wie vor von der Binnennachfrage getragen. Dabei haben die Investitionen, die bisher schwach waren, an Kraft gewonnen. Hinzu kommt, dass die Außenwirtschaft inzwischen wieder positiv zur gesamtwirtschaftlichen Expansion beiträgt. Wir erwarten für 2017 eine Zunahme des Bruttoinlandsprodukts (BIP) um 1,6% (arbeitstäglich bereinigt 1,8%), womit wir die Prognose um 0,3%-Punkte gegenüber der vom März anheben. Für 2018 wird ein Wirtschaftswachstum von 1,8% prognostiziert. Dabei wird eine Inflationsrate von 1,6% in diesem und im kommenden Jahr erwartet. Die Lage am Arbeitsmarkt dürfte sich weiter verbessern und die Arbeitslosenquote auf voraussichtlich 5,7% in diesem und 5,5% im kommenden Jahr sinken. Auch wenn die Finanzpolitik in diesem Jahr expansiv ausgerichtet ist, bleibt die Lage der Staatsfinanzen günstig. Die öffentlichen Haushalte dürften weiterhin hohe Überschüsse erzielen, die sich in Relation zum BIP auf 0,7% in diesem bzw. auf 0,8% im kommenden Jahr belaufen dürften.
