Autonomes Fahren: Eine Herausforderung für die deutsche Autoindustrie

Abstract

Teil- und vollautonome Fahrzeuge sind neben alternativen Antriebssystemen wie der Elektromobilität einer der Megatrends in der Automobilindustrie. Die damit verbundene Vernetzung öffnet die Autoindustrie auch für potenzielle Neueinsteiger aus der Elektronikindustrie und der Internet-Technologie, die in diesem Bereich hohe Kompetenzen besitzen. Für etablierte Anbieter stellt eine mögliche disruptive Veränderung eine Bedrohung bestehender Märkte dar. Aber auch eine schrittweise Einführung der neuen Technologien ver­stärkt den Wettbewerb. Gleichwohl sind deutsche Autounternehmen aufgrund ihrer Marktpositionierung im Premiumsegment, besonders aber auch wegen der hohen Forschungsleistung gut aufgestellt, um die Herausforderungen erfolgreich anzunehmen.
