Die Struktur der Arbeitskosten in der deutschen Wirtschaft

Abstract

Die Arbeitskosten je vollzeitbeschäftigten Arbeitnehmer im Produzierenden Gewerbe stiegen im Jahr 2012 in Westdeutschland um 2,9 Prozent und in Ostdeutschland um 3,5 Prozent. Damit war die Kostendynamik in den alten Bundesländern weit schwächer als in den Jahren zuvor. Dieser Unterschied relativiert sich aber dadurch stark, dass die Arbeitszeit in den Jahren 2010 und 2011 auf das Vorkrisenniveau zurückgeführt wurde. Mit einem Kostenniveau von 40.540 Euro hat das ostdeutsche Produzierende Gewerbe weiterhin einen Kostenvorteil von rund einem Drittel gegenüber dem westdeutschen (61.200 Euro). Im Dienstleistungsbereich zeigt sich eine große Spanne zwischen den Sektoren Verkehr (43.980 Euro) und Handel (46.210 Euro) einerseits und den Finanzdienstleistern (78.420 Euro) andererseits. Auch bei den Unternehmensdienstleistungen ergibt sich trotz des Kostenrückgangs im Jahr 2012 mit 61.860 Euro ein etwas höheres Kostenniveau als im Produzierenden Gewerbe.
