Wie familienfreundlich ist die deutsche Wirtschaft?

Abstract

Eine repräsentative Unternehmensbefragung des Instituts der deutschen Wirtschaft Köln zeigt die Verbreitung und Bedeutung von Familienfreundlichkeit in den Unternehmen in Deutschland. Drei Viertel aller Unternehmen bieten mit unterschiedlichen Formen der Arbeitszeitflexibilisierung das wichtigste Instrument zur Vereinbarkeit von Familie und Beruf an. Für die Unternehmen, die familienfreundliche Maßnahmen praktizieren, sind die wichtigsten Motive, die Arbeitszufriedenheit der Beschäftigten zu erhöhen und qualifizierte Mitarbeiter zu halten oder zu gewinnen. Nur knapp ein Fünftel der Unternehmen hat bisher keine der abgefragten familienfreundlichen Maßnahmen eingeführt. Als Hemmnisse für ein stärkeres familienorientiertes Engagement nennen die Unternehmen den fehlenden betrieblichen Bedarf und den fehlenden Bedarf seitens der Mitarbeiter. Darüber hinaus betrachten sie die KInderbetreuung un die Elternförderung nicht als betriebliche Aufgabe.
