Ausländermetropole Berlin: Integration West und Integration Ost?

Abstract

Auf der Basis eines theoretischen Integrationsmodells, statistischer Daten des Landesamtes Berlin und einer teilnehmenden Beobachtung wird der Stand der Ausländerintegration in Berlin-West und Berlin-Ost analysiert. Es zeigen sich noch deutliche Spuren der unterschiedlichen Geschichte. In den östlichen Bezirken sind spezielle Ausländerwohngebiete bislang nicht entstanden. Die Ursachen liegen in der geringeren Zahl von Ausländern, der fehlenden Dominanz einer ethnischen Gruppe und der hohen Integrationsbereitschaft der im Ostteil vertretenen Hauptgruppen Vietnamesen, Polen und Russen. Zudem ist ein starker Zuzug von EU-Ausländern in die aufgewerteten Innenbezirke des ehemaligen Ostens festzustellen.
