Die Rolle von Gaskraftwerken nach der Energiewende - Brückentechnologie oder Stützpfeiler der Stromversorgung?

Abstract

Zunehmend werden in Deutschland konventionelle Kraftwerke stilllgelegt. Dies trifft zum einen die Kernkraftwerke, aber auch alte Gas- und Kohlekraftwerke. Ein großer Teil der Erzeugungslücke kann durch erneuerbare Energien gedeckt werden. Allerdings entsteht dabei eine Residualnachfage, die bei fehlendem Wind und Sonnenlicht gedeckt werden muss. Dafür eignen sich neue Gaskraftwerke. Ob und wie lange diese bestehen hängt davon, ab wie das Marktdesign der Energy-only-Märkte weiterentwickelt und wie die zukünftigen Regelenergiemärkte ausgestaltet werden.
