Objektive regionale Lebensqualität und subjektives Wohlbefinden: Was macht Bürgerinnen und Bürger zufrieden?

Abstract

Lebensqualität ist ein Begriff, der sich durch verschiedene Facetten auszeichnet. Ebenso vieldimensional sind die Faktoren, die die Höhe der Lebensqualität bedingen. Im Beitrag werden Einflussgrößen auf die Lebensqualität mit Hilfe von zwei verschiedenen Umfrageergebnissen erfasst und in ihrer regionalen Ausprägung interpretiert. Dabei werden große Unterschiede innerhalb von Deutschland sichtbar. Zudem wird deutlich, dass die wirtschaftlichen Gegebenheiten einen sehr starken Einfluss auf die Lebensqualität haben. Wenn ein ausreichendes Angebot an sicheren Arbeitsplätzen besteht, wird dies als ein positiver Einfluss auf die Lebensqualität gewertet. Umgekehrt gilt aber, dass z.B. Verbesserungen des Wohnumfeldes keine nachhaltige Wirkung auf die Lebensqualität haben, wenn die ökonomische Basis, z.B. ausreichend Erwerbsmöglichkeiten, fehlt.
