Lebenszufriedenheit – generationstypisch? Befunde der laufenden BBSR-Umfrage

Abstract

Der Beitrag stellt Ergebnisse der Umfrage des Bundesinstituts für Bau-, Stadt- und Raumforschung (BBSR) vor - zugespitzt auf den problematischen Befund, dass auch 20 Jahre nach der deutschen Einheit die Lebenszufriedenheit in Ostdeutschland durchschnittlich niedriger ist als in Westdeutschland. Die Auswertungen der repräsentativen Umfrage zeigen, dass sich die Lebenszufriedenheit nach Alter, Generation und Geschlecht unterscheidet. Die Befunde weisen auf einen Lebensalterseffekt in Kombination mit typisch generationellen Erfahrungen der Befragten hin.
