Die Bevölkerungsentwicklung in den Kommunen

Abstract

Dargestellt wird die langfristige Entwicklung der Bevölkerung und der privaten Haushalte in Deutschland von 1871 bis 2000. Eingehend analysiert wird die natürliche Bevölkerungsbewegung, insbesondere wird den Ursachen rückläufiger Geburtenzahlen nachgegangen. Sodann werden Ausmaß und Ursachen von Binnen- und Außenwanderungen untersucht. Breiten Raum nehmen Beschreibung und Erklärung der Struktur und Entwicklung der ausländischen Bevölkerungsgruppen ein. Sie werden insbesondere anhand der Indikatoren Alter, Geschlecht, nationale Herkunft, Lebensbedingungen, Partizipation, Werte und Orientierungen sowie Integration analysiert. Insgesamt wird gezeigt, dass eine stabile Bevölkerungsentwicklung nicht ausschließlich durch Zuwanderung erreicht werden kann, sondern eine deutlich stärker kinderorientierte Gesellschafts- und Sozialpolitik vonnöten ist.
