Abstract

The article examines the Ecuadorian stock market and its challenges in the Fintech 3.0 era, addressing the transformations fromFintech 1.0 and 2.0 to the current 3.0. It analyzes the situation of the stock market and the fintech sector in Ecuador, as well as the government policies aimed at developing the country's technological ecosystem. The participants in the Ecuadorian stockmarket are detailed, and how they can leverage the new regulations, including the Fintech Law, to improve their performance and competitiveness. The study identifies the main challenges facing the stock market sector in the Fintech 3.0 era, such as adapting to emerging technologies and integrating digital platforms within the existing regulatory framework. Additionally, specific strategies are proposed to overcome these challenges, including investment in technological infrastructure, financial education, and collaboration between the public and private sectors to boost innovation. The objective of the article is to encourage stock market participants to adopt technological advancements to promote the democratization and growth of the stock market in Ecuador, ensuring its sustainability and competitiveness in the global context.
