Abstract
This research article analyzes the dynamics and evolution of the registered results of the main supermarkets in Ecuador, corresponding to the period 2018-2022, temporality, which measures the pre and post-pandemic trends of COVID-19. The objective set out in this research seeks to analyze the behavior and market dynamics of the main supermarkets in Ecuador, as well as make visible their operating results and quantify the link of e-commerce in the operation of the leader in this market. To measure the results related to the object of investigation, the market leader company, Corporación Favorita, which concentrates 45% of the income of the supermarket sector and on which its results linked to its e-commerce strategy can be inferred, was selected. through the services of the company TIPTI S.A., to the other participants in this industry, on this basis, through the static analysis of the financial results of Corporación la Favorita C.A. and TIPTI S.A. The correlation index is determined as a methodological tool,which seeks to measure the degree of dependency that exists between the operating indices of the companies analyzed, their trends and business contributions. The general conclusion of the analysis shows that there is a high and directly proportional relationship, this means that while more customers buy products through the APP, the income of the two companies analyzed grows, which marks the relevance and positioning in the consumer of these brands and their products, in parallel, the income from the consumption of products through TIPTI by 2022 generated USD $44.99 million, which corresponds to 1.97%. In the weighting of income of Corporación la Favorita C.A., and an annual growth of 192%, this dynamic foresees a potential growth of transactions and income, which could be replicated to the other commercial subsidiaries of the Corporation, such as toy stores, hardware stores, bookstores, etc.
