Análisis de las decisiones gerenciales en la gestión de proyectos del sector de la construcción durante la emergencia sanitaria

Abstract

It is evident that COVID-19 has generated a strong impact on the economy of Ecuador, and the objective of this research is to analyze managerial decisions in the management of projects in the construction sector during the health emergency. The methodology has a quantitative approach and seeks to examine numerical data to measure the behavior of construction companies; for which it is considered to examine the construction sector through the analysis of competitive forces: bargaining power of customers, bargaining power of suppliers, threat of new competitors, threat of substitute products and rivalry between competitors; a financial analysis is also developed through profitability and indebtedness indicators; and a survey of 41 questions was carried out to 184 professionals in the construction sector to identify the groups of processes and areas of knowledge of their preference. Taking into account the entire context of the pandemic, the analysis of the environment, the financial analysis and the survey carried out; we have as a result of the investigation; the impact of the health emergency in the construction sector in figures and indicators, in such a way that we have been able to identify good administrative practices through managerial decisions in the management of projects in the construction sector, which were taken through the planning, control and monitoring based on schedule management and project cost management.
