Abstract

Because of the importance of information integration in obtaining competitive advantage in today's information-intensive environment, many organisations continue to search for better information integration practices that will support effective business processes across the value chain. However, effective information integration practices are not well understood; measures of information integration outcomes are not adequately presented either. This paper classifies effective information integration practices into technological and organisational aspects and identifies technological and organisational outcome measures that correspond to technological and organisational practices.
