Abstract

Using the characterisation of semivalues by means of weighting coefficients, we study the possibility of extending to them several interesting properties common to the Shapley and Banzhaf values. We conclude that most of the main characteristics of these two classical values are shared by regular semivalues, and this fact provides a theoretical basis for using them as alternatives in future applications — due to their versatility.
