Digitalisierung in Österreich: Fortschritt und Nutzung künstlicher Intelligenz in Unternehmen

Abstract

Österreich liegt im aktuellen Monitoring ausgewählter Indikatoren zur digitalen Transformation weiter im Mittelfeld der EU 27. Es besteht u. a. weiterhin ein Rückstand bei der Nutzung von ultraschnellem Breitbandinternet. Dagegen nahm der Einsatz künstlicher Intelligenz (KI) in Österreich zuletzt markant zu. Im Jahr 2024 nutzte etwa jedes fünfte Unternehmen mindestens eine KI-Anwendung, wobei sich die Nutzungsrate im Vergleich zum Vorjahr verdoppelte. Bei den Unternehmen, die KI einsetzen, handelt es sich vielfach um größere Unternehmen mit zumindest 250 Beschäftigten. Eine sektorale Betrachtung zeigt, dass hauptsächlich Unternehmen im Dienstleistungssektor KI einsetzen, besonders im Bereich Information und Kommunikation. KI wird häufig in solchen Unternehmen genutzt, welche bereits ein hohes Ausmaß an Digitalisierung aufweisen.
