Abstract

Die künftig 27 Mitgliedsländer der Europäischen Union feiern die Unterzeichnung der "Römischen Verträge" vor 60 Jahren. Nach 44 Jahren der Mitgliedschaft in der Europäischen Gemeinschaft reicht Großbritannien den Austrittsantrag ein. Die britische Regierung fordert einen "harten Brexit", d. h. einen Austritt aus sämtlichen EU-Institutionen und dem Binnenmarkt. Mit der Aufkündigung des transpazifischen Handelsabkommens beginnt der designierte Präsident der USA Donald Trump, seine protektionistischen Ankündigungen umzusetzen. – Die österreichische Bundesregierung stellt ein neues Arbeitsprogramm für die Jahre 2017/18 mit einem zeitlichen Umsetzungsplan vor. Eine der ersten konkreten Maßnahmen ist der mit 2 Mrd. € dotierte Beschäftigungsbonus, eine Förderung der Lohnnebenkosten für die Einstellung zusätzlicher Arbeitskräfte aus dem österreichischen Arbeitsmarkt.
