Abstract

Das englische Parlament stimmt für den Antrag auf EU-Austritt nach Art. 50 EU-Vertrag. Die Austrittserklärung soll bis spätestens 31. März 2017 erfolgen. Das Freihandelsabkommen zwischen der EU und Kanada (CETA) wird nach großen Widerständen in einigen EU-Ländern und nach positiver Beantwortung eines Eilantrages beim deutschen Bundesverfassungsgerichtshof unterzeichnet. Der Vertrag zur Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), dem das japanische Parlament zustimmt, wird in den USA vom Präsidentschaftskandidaten Donald Trump schon im Wahlkampf abgelehnt. Erstmals seit 2001 einigen sich OPEC und einige Nicht-OPEC-Länder auf eine Kürzung der Erdölfördermengen. – Der neuverhandelte Finanzausgleich, der ab 2017 jährlich Steuereinnahmen von mehr als 80 Mrd. € zwischen Bund, Ländern und Gemeinden verteilt, weist Ansätze von Aufgabenorientierung und Steuerautonomie auf. Durch die Annahme des Rückkaufangebotes der Gläubiger der HETA scheint die Insolvenzgefahr für das Land Kärnten nun abgewendet zu sein.
