Abstract

Erstmals seit sieben Jahren erhöht die Notenbank der USA die Leitzinssätze. Der Flüchtlingszustrom aus den Krisengebieten im Nahen Osten und in Afrika nach Europa stellt die EU- und die Westbalkanländer vor große humanitäre, politische und ökonomische Herausforderungen. Der Türkei sichert die EU eine Unterstützung von 3 Mrd. € zu für die Versorgung der derzeit 2,5 Mio. Flüchtlinge. Die Beitrittsverhandlungen werden beschleunigt. Das neue Klimaschutzabkommen von Paris ist ein Schritt zum Ausstieg aus der Nutzung fossiler Energieträger. An der Ausarbeitung von Maßnahmen gegen die Steueroptimierung von transnationalen Konzernen beteiligen sich 62 Länder, die 90% der Weltwirtschaft vertreten. – Der österreichische Nationalrat beschließt das Bundesfinanzgesetz 2016, der Fiskalrat sieht jedoch eine mögliche Verfehlung der strukturellen Budgetregeln. Bundesregierung und Sozialpartner beschließen ein Arbeitsmarktpaket.
