Handelspolitische Spannungen trüben das Konjunkturklima ein

Abstract

Die Wirtschaft der USA überwand im II. Quartal 2014 den Rückgang, der zu Jahresbeginn verzeichnet worden war. Zuletzt ging die hohe Arbeitslosigkeit in einigen EU-Ländern etwas zurück. In Großbritannien setzte sich die Expansion im II. Quartal 2014 fort, in Spanien gewann der Aufschwung an Kraft. Die handelspolitischen Spannungen mit Russland dämpfen das Konjunkturklima in Deutschland und Österreich, die heimische Ausfuhr nach Russland verringerte sich im ersten Jahresdrittel bereits markant. Der private Konsum bleibt in Österreich träge, die Nachfrage nach langlebigen Gütern schwach. Die Lage auf dem Arbeitsmarkt entspannte sich bisher nicht.
