Krise im Euro-Raum hemmt Aufschwung in Österreich. Prognose für 2013 und 2014

Abstract

Die Erholung hält in den USA an, im Euro-Raum blieb sie bislang aus. Die starke und simultane Einschränkung der öffentlichen Nachfrage in einigen EU-Ländern, die Zunahme der Arbeitslosigkeit, die gehemmte Kreditvergabe und die Welthandelsflaute belasten dort die Konjunktur weiterhin. Wichtige Absatzmärkte der heimischen Exportbranche befinden sich in der Rezession oder stagnieren. Die Investitionsbereitschaft ist daher in Österreich gedämpft. Die schwache Entwicklung der Realeinkommen und der Anstieg der Sparquote belasten zudem den privaten Konsum. Für 2013 prognostiziert das WIFO einen BIP-Zuwachs von nur 0,4%. Vor dem Hintergrund einer zunehmenden Handelsdynamik wird sich das Wachstum 2014 auf 1,6% beschleunigen.
