Abstract

Am 24. September 2007 veranstaltete das WIFO gemeinsam mit der Kommunalkredit und mit Unterstützung der OeNB eine internationale Konferenz zum "Zusammenhang zwischen Konjunktur und Wachstum". Mit der Tagung würdigte das WIFO die langjährige wissenschaftliche Arbeit von Univ.-Prof. Gunther Tichy, welcher heuer seinen 70. Geburtstag feierte. Herausragende Persönlichkeiten aus Forschung und Wirtschaftspolitik im In- und Ausland diskutierten über die gemeinsame Modellierung und die Wechselwirkungen von Wirtschaftswachstum und Konjunkturschwankungen. Der vorliegende Beitrag fasst die wichtigsten Ergebnisse der Konferenz kurz zusammen.
