Wirtschaft schöpft ihr Potential mittelfristig zunehmend aus. Prognose der österreichischen Wirtschaft bis 2008

Abstract

Im Zeitraum 2003 bis 2008 dürfte das reale BIP in Österreich um etwa 2,3% pro Jahr wachsen, etwas rascher als im Euro-Raum. Vor allem die Auswirkungen der Steuerreform, der EU-Erweiterung und der Ausweitung der Ausgaben für "Zukunftsfaktoren" sollten einen kleinen Wachstumsvorsprung gegenüber der EU ermöglichen. Die Dynamik dürfte allerdings wegen der zu erwartenden kräftigen Steigerung des Angebotes an ausländischen Arbeitskräften nicht ausreichen, um die Arbeitslosenquote nennenswert zu verringern.
