Sozialquote 1999 leicht gestiegen. Ausweitung der Ausgaben für Invalidität, Krankheit und Familie

Abstract

Gemäß der EU-konformen Methode der Ausgabenerfassung für soziale Sicherheit betrugen die österreichischen Sozialausgaben im Jahr 1999 781 Mrd. S. Sie erhöhten sich damit gegenüber dem Vorjahr um 4,2%, während das nominelle BIP um 3,5% zunahm. Nach einer Stabilisierung in der zweiten Hälfte der neunziger Jahre nahm die Sozialquote im Jahr 1999 erstmals wieder zu (+0,4 Prozentpunkte). Mit 28,9% entsprach sie dem Wert von 1997.
