Der aktuelle Stand der integrationstheoretischen Diskussion

Abstract

Die europäische Integration ist Vorreiter des weltweiten Trends zur Regionalisierung. Während die Integration aber in Übersee (NAFTA, APEC usw.) lediglich den Charakter von Freihandelsabkommen aufweist, schreitet sie innerhalb der EU stetig voran (von der Zollunion über den Binnenmarkt zur Wirtschafts- und Währungsunion). Die Integrationstheorie muß nun auf neue komplexe Anforderungen eine adäquate Anwort finden. In modernen Ansätzen beschäftigt sie sich mit Fragen des Binnenmarktes, eines "Europa der zwei Geschwindigkeiten" bis zur Globalisierung.
