Konjunkturabschwächung verstärkt Anstieg der Arbeitslosigkeit. Prognose für 1996 und 1997

Abstract

Die erhebliche Verschlechterung der internationalen Konjunktur bildet den zentralen Bestimmungsgrund für die Revision der Konjunkturprognose. Export- und Investitionsnachfrage schwächen sich deutlich ab. Die österreichische Wirtschaft wird 1996 um nur ¾% und 1997 um 1% expandieren. Die Wachstumsabschwächung bewirkt einen weiteren Rückgang der Beschäftigung, die Arbeitslosigkeit droht auf ein neues Rekordniveau zu steigen. Mit dem umfangreichen Konsolidierungsprogramm der Bundesregierung sollte ein Erreichen der Zielgröße für das Budgetdefizit möglich sein.
