Österreich als Teil der EU-Zollunion

Abstract

Mit einem Beitritt Österreichs zur EU werden die noch bestehenden Hindernisse in den gegenseitigen Wirtschaftsbeziehungen beseitigt. Die durch die Ursprungsregelung und Grenzkontrollen bisher verursachten Kosten können auf 4% bis 5% des Warenwertes geschätzt werden. Auch die sich aus dem Fehlen der gesamteuropäischen Kumulierung sowie aus dem passiven Veredelungsverkehr der EU mit Textilien für Österreich ergebende Probleme würden beseitigt. Österreich würde auch die Gemeinsame Handelspolitik der EU übernehmen. Die Einführung des Gemeinsamen Zolltarifs würde die durchschnittliche Zollbelastung der Importe aus Drittstaaten von 10,7% auf 7,3% verringern.
