Abstract

A comparison of working and living conditions in the USA and Germany in 2022 shows that Germany performs better than the USA on a large number of indicators. Working and living conditions are measured on the basis of twelve dimensions using over 80 sub-indicators. For comparison: the traditional indicator “gross domestic product”, which is often used for international comparisons, was higher in the USA than in Germany in 2022. In the following, the alternative measurement of prosperity is presented and its results analysed.
