The Role and Potential of Global Distribution System Amadeus for Tourism Development at the Global Level

Abstract

Globalizacija, razvoj i primena novih tehnologija, novi potrošacki trendovi, briga za prirodno okruženje i mnogi drugi faktori, doprineli su raznolikosti i složenosti turisticke industrije. Iz navedenih razloga, turisticka industrija u proteklih nekoliko godina nastoji da usmeri svoje aktivnosti ka razvoju informacione i tehnološke infrastrukture, odnosno globalne elektronske povezanosti sa ciljem prevazilaženja granicnih barijera i uspostavljanja odnosa kako sa pružaocima usluga i turistima, tako i sa turistickim agencijama i organizatorima putovanja. Razvoj informacionih tehnologija i evolucija rezervacionih sistema pojedinih avio kompanija doveli su do nastanka Globalnih Distribucionih Sistema (GDS), poznatijih širom sveta kao kompjuterski rezervacioni sistemi koji elektronskim putem povezuju turisticku ponudu sa turistickom potražnjom. Cilj ovog ovog rada je da se prikaže uloga i znacaj vodeceg distribucionog sistema (GDS Amadeus), kako bi se istakla njegova uloga u razvoju turizma na globalnom nivou. Istraživanje i metodologija ovog rada zasnovani su na analizi podataka dobijenih iz primarnih i sekundarnih izvora, putem kojih cemo koristeci deduktivni pristup teorijskih postavki i analiticki pristup kvantitativnih pokazatelja doci do znacajnih saznanja. Na kraju ovog rada kroz zakljucno razmatranje, nastojacemo da pokažemo naucnu opravdanost sprovedenog istraživanja, tako što cemo ukazati na znacaj kontinuiranog nadzora i prilagoavanja promenama na turistickom tržištu, kako bismo ukazali na važnost primene informacionih tehnologija za razvoj turizma.
