Abstract

nternet Economy, New Economy, Web Economy, and Connected Economy are all new ICT terms referring to the digitalization and digital transformation of companies/organizations, and defining the process of creating busi-ness value through digitally organized links between people, machines and companies, creating new related business models, products and services. Digital transformation involves also using Internet-of-Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Business Analytics, among other advanced information technologies. The main purpose of this paper is to present the challenges and perspec-tives of digital transformation, including scope, strategy and enterprise architecture, and to point out its importance for business innovation and competitiveness.
