Abstract

The purpose of this report is to outline the main problems and challenges facing Bulgarian agriculture resulting from global changes in the agrarian and food sector, implementation of the new mechanisms of the CAP and ongoing processes and the applied agrarian policy. The state and problems of Bulgarian agriculture are tracked by analyzing a number of economic indicators in the years after Bulgaria's accession to the EU. In accordance with the new Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture 2021-2027, emphasis is placed on the more important measures to overcome the main disparities in the sector.
