The Role Of The Criminogenic Situation In The Causal Mechanism Of The Crime

Abstract

The current report examines the role of criminogenic situation in the causal mechanism as a condition determining the crime commission. Examples from the study of criminogenic situations in some types of conventional crimes are given to show this connection. The notion is motivated that not so much situation-personality correlation, but the study of the content of the criminogenic situation and the possibilities for preventive impact, are important in the research process.
