Abstract

En el último tiempo crecieron ampliamente los programas de transferencias monetarias condicionadas como herramienta de política pública para aliviar la pobreza y la desigualdad, especialmente en los países latinoamericanos. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo medir el impacto de la Asignación Universal por Hijo sobre la salud en niños menores de 5 años en Argentina, aproximada mediante medidas antropométricas. Se utilizaron datos de la Encuesta Nacional de Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes (MICS) 2019-2020 y se empleó la técnica de evaluación de impacto Propensity Score Matching. Según los resultados, no se encuentra efecto significativo del programa en ninguna de las variables resultado analizadas, por lo que la AUH no tendría impacto sobre las medidas antropométricas de los niños que reciben la asignación
