Un autre mécanisme de diffusion de la crise mondiale : le cas de la Turquie

Abstract

A la différence des économies de l’Union européenne, la crise mondiale s’est propagée directement sur le secteur réel de l’économie turque alors que son secteur financier dominé par les banques a résisté à ce choc. Cette résistance est essentiellement due à l’organisation et à la régulation du système bancaire turc. Comme les pays européens, la Turquie a mis sur pied des mesures de relance. Mais, à la différence de ces pays, ces dispositions n’ont pas entraîné une détérioration grave des finances publiques. De ce fait, le gouvernement n’a pas été obligé d’arbitrer entre la croissance économique et l’assainissement budgétaire sous la pression des marchés financiers.
