Scientific and technological ideas for the Merida state: agriculture and agri-food area

Abstract

Inicialmente se presenta el contexto situacional en que se desenvolverá la agricultura venezolana y regional en los próximos años. Dicho contexto está definido por el conjunto de políticas económicas que conforman el Plan de Estabilización y Ajustes Estructurales. En un segundo plano, se hace un diagnóstico del sector agroalimentario regional y un balance de la capacidad científica y tecnológica con que cuenta la región, para contribuir a la reconversión agroalimentaria. Finalmente se formulan las políticas y las líneas de investigación que deberían abordar-se prioritariamente en el área agrícola-agroalimentaria del Estado Mérida.
